Description

CAMBORNE DOLCOATH ROAD SW 64 SE (south side) 5/49 Engine house opposite 7.4.83 British Bakeries GV II Mine engine house with associated boiler house, now derelict. Probably late C19. Uncoursed granite rubble with quoins, bob wall of dressed granite blocks, window arches of brick; now roofless. Rectangular plan on east- west axis with bob wall to east, boiler house attached to north side; now no chimney. Three stages, with round-headed openings. Rectangular single- storey boiler house attached at right-angles has a segmental-headed doorway and 3 round-headed window openings. History not known, but presumably once part of Dolcoath Mine.
