Description
The well house, located directly to the east of Well Cottage, dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of stone rubble. It features a gable-ended roof made from four large stone slabs that are bolted together. The structure has a rectangular opening that contains a 20th-century plank door with a slightly arched slate lintel above it. The well house is situated directly opposite the parish Church of St Hugo and is associated with Cadoc, the Abbot of Llancarven, who was said to have the miraculous ability to make water rise in dry places.
