Description

This is a small Bible Christian Wayside chapel and gate, originally disused and later converted into a private dwelling. It dates from around the early 19th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble with granite quoins, and has a cement-washed slate roof with hipped ends. The rectangular plan includes an entrance in the right-hand end wall. The front elevation, which faces the road, has a regular two-window arrangement and a plank door in the right-hand side. There are two 12-over-16 pane sash windows in reduced openings, protected by timber lintels. A window is partially blocked on the left-hand side. The interior is very simple, boasting furnishings in pitch pine. A wrought iron gate, dating from around the mid-19th century, is located near the entrance on the right.
