Description
This is a dovecote located 40 metres west of the Rectory, possibly dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from slate rubble and features a slate roof. The structure is circular with a domed rubble vault. The original central louvre has been replaced with glass. The dovecote has two storeys, and an inserted floor has been added due to a previous conversion into an upper garden house, which is accessed by a flight of steps. It has a plank door with a glazed panel and a plain plank door below. Nesting holes are present only in the lower part of the dovecote. Inspection and dating were difficult due to the growth of ivy at the time of the survey in September 1985.
