Description
Pipe Well is a well house that was rebuilt in 1816, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed from granite ashlar and features a hipped granite roof. The structure is built into the side of a rubblestone wall over the pipe well and has a rectangular plan. There is a small opening with a 20th-century plank door on the left side, and the datestone is located in the center of the front. Water discharges through a pipe on the right side, which is accessed by three granite steps that lead down to the pipe. These steps are enclosed by 20th-century wrought iron railings. The well was originally known as 'Our Lady's Well'.
