Description
Holy well, dating from around the 15th century. It is constructed of square slatestone rubble with granite dressings and features a stone roof. The building is a small rectangular well house with the sink located inside.
The exterior is single storey and sits on a chamfered plinth. The front gable end has a chamfered granite three-centred arched doorway, which includes a granite cill and a 20th-century wooden gate. The doorway is recessed and topped with a flat stone lintel. The stone roof has a chamfered eaves cornice, and the upper part of the gable has been removed, resulting in a flat top.
Inside, there is a vaulted stone roof with a niche located at the rear right, and the sink occupies the entire floor area. This well is not scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
