Description

The coach house, stables, and adjoining outbuilding located approximately 25 meters northeast of Lefra Farmhouse were built around the late 19th century. Constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings, the buildings feature grouted scantle slate roofs and a brick chimney on the right-hand gable end of the coach house. The gutters are made of cast iron and have an ogee section.

The structure has a rectangular plan, with a central stair situated between the stables on the left and the coach house on the right. To the left, there is a single-storey outbuilding. The exterior is two storeys high and presents a four-window front facing southwest. It includes a wide carriage doorway on the right and a stable doorway towards the left, with a window on either side of the stable doorway and a central doorway that was originally a stair window. The doorways feature hooded lintels and tracks for sliding doors. The stable has a panelled door with two glazed top panels, and there is one original door for the carriage doorway. Most windows are late 19th-century horned sashes, except for a 20th-century 12-pane casement at the first floor, which has been fitted to a former loading hatch for the hay loft over the stables. The store and pigsty set back on the left are supported by granite monolithic piers, with doorways positioned between them.

The interior remains virtually unaltered, featuring original stall partitions in the stables and a fireplace in the coach house.
