Description
The Gobeldick chest tomb, located about 9 metres southeast of the Church of St Uvelus, is a late 18th-century structure. It is made of low slate rubble and features a slate lid. The top of the lid has a grooved border but lacks any additional decoration. The inscription, presented in upper and lower case, commemorates William Gobledick, who died in 1780, and includes a verse below.
