Description

Bishops Quay is an 18th-century quay constructed from vertically set dry shale rubble with dressed granite copings. It features an irregular projection from the river bank. Behind the quay, a former coalyard once stood, its walls constructed of 19th-century stone rubble. A section of this coalyard wall, located at the south, was built directly over the quay wall.
