Description

This building, located 10 meters to the west of Trewane, is a house that likely dates from the 18th century but incorporates reused materials from the 17th century. It features several mullion windows, the jambs of an arch at the entrance, and a moulded chimney stack. Constructed from stone rubble, it has a rag slate roof with hipped ends and an axial chimney stack positioned to the right of center, which has a granite shaft and a moulded 17th-century granite cap.

The house has a three-room layout with a cross passage, likely including an unheated room on the left. The central and right-hand rooms are heated by a back-to-back fireplace served by the axial stack. The partitions flanking the passage have been removed, resulting in the left-hand and central rooms now forming one large space.

The building is two storeys high with a regular five-window front. The entrance is located to the left of center and features a reworked four-centred arch with chamfered granite jambs. The entrance door is partly glazed and incorporates reused framing from an earlier door. To the left of the entrance is a two-light mullion window, and to the right are two two-light mullion windows, which were reglazed in the mid to late 20th century with diagonal leaded glass. The first floor has five two-light casements, also with 20th-century diagonal leaded glass. The interior includes details from the 19th and 20th centuries.
