Description

York House is an early 19th century building constructed from coursed granite. It features a moulded cornice and an embattled parapet. The building has two storeys and includes two splayed bay windows, each with three sashes; the ground floor windows have intersecting glazing bars. Between the bay windows is an open granite porch supported by Tuscan columns, which has an entablature with a battlemented parapet and a semi-circular fanlight with tracery. A string course runs along the building. There are extensive 20th century additions at the rear.
