Description

The Dennis tomb, located approximately 16 metres north of the east end of the Church of Budock, is an early 19th-century chest tomb dedicated to the Dennis family. The earliest inscription commemorates Sampson Dennis, a merchant in Lisbon who died in 1830 at the age of 51. The tomb is made of dressed freestone and sits on a long granite base. It has a rectangular shape and features shield-shaped slate plaques and pilaster corners.
