Description
27 Wendron Street is a town house dating from the 18th century, with later alterations. The front is made of Elvan ashlar, while the rest of the building features granite and other rubble. It has a steep dry slate roof with brick end stacks and a double-depth plan. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical two-window front. There are early 19th-century two-storey projecting bays with hipped roofs above a moulded entablature, and Elvan ashlar extends to the ground-floor sills. The windows are 20th-century two-light designs with sidelights and small-paned top-lights. The central doorway features an early 19th-century doorcase with moulded architraves and corner blocks with roundels, panelled reveals, and a six-panel door. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
