Description

The cross at SX 089 591 in Lostwithiel is a medieval granite monolith approximately 3 metres high, standing on a roughly circular granite base. The top of the cross features a Maltese or patee cross carved in low relief. The shaft is roughly hewn and has an incised design on the front that includes a thin shaft with a small round head. It is designated as ancient monument number 171.
