Description
Well-house located 70 metres to the south of Basil Manor. It dates from the early 19th century, though it likely has earlier origins. The structure is made of stone rubble and has a roughly rectangular plan, with thick stone rubble side walls and a rear wall built against a bank as the ground rises at the back. At the front, a granite lintel from a 2-light mullion window has been reset above the opening. Inside, stone steps lead down into the rectangular sump.
