Description

A pair of early 19th-century houses located in Dunstanville Terrace, Falmouth. The houses are built with render over rubble, have an asbestos slate roof with a moulded eaves cornice, and brick end stacks. They feature two slate-hung hipped roof dormers. The plan is of a double-depth configuration.

The houses are three storeys plus an attic over a basement, and have a three-window front. The original tripartite sash window with glazing bars remains on the second floor to the left, while the other windows are later replacements with horned sashes – except for a late 19th-century canted oriel window on the ground floor to the right. The entrance features elliptical-arched fanlights over six-panel doors, set within a wide distyle Tuscan porch with a moulded entablature and deep soffit. A flight of granite steps leads to the porch, flanked by ramped wrought-iron railings. The interior of the houses has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
