Description
A pair of houses built in the early 19th century, originally known as Greenbank Terrace Nos. 14 and 15, and later Dunstanville Villas. The houses are constructed of brick with a granite plinth, quoins and keyblocks above the flat arches, with slatehanging to the upper floors. They have an asbestos slate roof with two slate-hung hipped dormers and brick end stacks. The design follows a double-depth plan and presents a symmetrical three-window facade over three storeys plus an attic. The original windows are tripartite hornless sashes with glazing bars, except for a 20th-century paired sash window above the doorways. There are six-panel doors within a distyle Tuscan porch with a moulded entablature. The interior of No. 15 includes a dog-leg staircase, a cast-iron flying horseshoe grate in the front room, and some panelled doors. Attached to the rear of the houses, forming the boundary between Nos 15 and 16 (which is not included in this listing), is a high wall constructed of killas rubble and topped with scantle slate coping, incorporating red clay ridge tiles.
