Description

The detached chimney at Trevoole Mine, West Wheal Grenville, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features a lower stage made of granite rubble and an upper stage constructed from brick. The chimney is round in shape and consists of two tapered stages, with a moulded brick collar between the stages and another moulded brick collar at the top of the upper stage. It is virtually intact and was likely used to operate a whim. This chimney is part of a group with the nearby engine house.
