Description

ST CLEER HIGHER TREMAR COOMBE SX 26 NE 11/78 Hawksland - II House. Late C18 - early C19, with some C20 alterations. Painted stone rubble, partly slate-hung. Slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends, gable end stacks with cornices. Plan: 2-room plan with central entrance to passage, each room heated by gable end stack. Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 2-window front; upper level slate-hung. Ground floor has C20 2-light casement to left, and 2 C20 2-light casements to right, stone porch with pitched roof and C20 door. First floor has two 2-light casements, probably early C19, of 6-panes each with L hinges. Attached to right, a single storey lean-to, with C20 door with slate hood and 2-light casement. Right side has C20 single light and 2-light casement in the lean-to. Left side has C20 window at ground floor to left, 4-pane light to right; upper level slate-hung. Rear blind, with letterbox of Edward VII. Interior: Not inspected.
