Description
This building is a row of probable pigs' houses and an open-fronted cart shed located on the east side of the yard at Newchurches Farmhouse. It dates from around the mid-19th century, likely built around the same time as the farmhouse, which was constructed for E. Coode in 1854. The structure is made of stone rubble with brick dressings and features a rag slate roof with hipped ends.
The overall layout is rectangular, with the row of probable pigs' houses situated on the south side and the open-fronted cart shed on the north side, forming the east side of the estate farmyard. The building is single storey, featuring a row of plank doors with brick segmental arches on the right and center, and the open-fronted cart shed on the left. There are also plank doors on the rear elevation. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a group that includes the barn on the west and south sides of the yard, as well as Newchurches Farmhouse.
