Description
Treverran is a fine early 18th century house constructed of Pentewan stone masonry with granite dressings and a steep slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features five tall sash windows with glazing bars and granite heads. A notable aspect of the facade is the four granite Ionic columns that extend the full height of the front, reaching through the eaves, along with a continuous moulded granite cornice. The central doorway is framed by a granite shouldered architrave and a broken semi-circular pediment, with a panelled door and a rectangular fanlight above it. Inside, the hall and rooms are adorned with fielded panelling and moulded cornices, while the fireplace is flanked by large fluted Ionic pilasters. The house also includes an 18th century staircase.
