Description

The wall and gate piers attached to the southeast of Hatt House date from the 18th century. They consist of a short range of slatestone rubble wall, which is approximately 1.5 metres high and 2 metres long. Attached to this wall is a gate pier, with an opposing pier located about 3 metres away, creating the entrance to the stable yard. The gate piers are granite monoliths with a square plan, standing about 2 metres high, featuring convex necking and ball finials.
