Description

The Village Pound in Botus Fleming is a small rectangular enclosure, likely of medieval origin, with walls that may date back to the 17th century. The structure measures approximately 8 meters by 10 meters and features slatestone rubble walls that stand about 1.5 meters high. A 20th-century cast iron gate is located at the southwest corner. Historical maps from 1907 indicate that this site was marked as a former pound.
