Description
Vine Cottage is a house that possibly dates back to the 18th century. It features painted stone rubble and possibly cob under render on the first floor front. The roof is covered with asbestos slate and has brick chimneys at the gable ends. The layout consists of two rooms with a central staircase, and the building is two storeys high. The east-facing front, which faces the road, has three windows. There is a nearly central doorway that contains a 20th-century planked door, framed by a doorcase with a hood. On either side of the doorway are three-light 20th-century casements with glazing bars set in widened openings. The first floor has 16-pane sashes with horns, and wooden lintels are present above the windows. A small sundial is located on the left-hand corner under the eaves. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
