Description

This is a road bridge over a stream, likely built in the 19th century. It is constructed from granite and features a small two-span design using post and lintel construction. The bridge is made of large, roughly dressed granite blocks. A low central pier is splayed on the north upstream side, serving as a cutwater. The stream is spanned by granite lintels placed side by side, and the parapets above the outer lintels are made of massive granite blocks that are only roughly shaped. The roadway measures about 4 metres in width. The stream flows into Polpenwith Creek, which is a tributary of the Helford River.
