Description
This headstone, located approximately 10 meters north of the east end of the Church of Saint Mylor, dates from the 18th century and commemorates the Goodfellow family. It is made of slate and features a moulded border. The inscription is incised and presented in various styles of lettering, honoring William Goodfellow, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Goodfellow, who died on February 26, 1797, at the age of 9 months. It also memorializes John, their son, who died on May 28, 1798, at the age of 9 years, and Elizabeth, the wife of Robert Goodfellow, who died on April 12, 1805, at the age of 38 years. To the north, there is a 19th-century slate monolith with a shaped head, dedicated to additional members of the Goodfellow family.
