Description

There are two chest tombs located about 8 metres north of the Church of St Swithin, dating from the early 18th century. One tomb commemorates John Bayly, who was buried in 1691, and his wife Margaret Bayly, who died in 1704. This tomb is made of freestone rubble and features a slate lid with an inscribed border and verse. The second tomb commemorates Daniel Bayly, who died in 1760. It is constructed from freestone with some brick repairs and has a stone inscribed lid.
