Description
The Bennacott Methodist Church is a chapel dating from 1879, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of painted stone rubble with brick dressings, and has a rag slate roof with gable ends. The building has a rectangular footprint, with a gallery at the liturgical west end and an original porch on the liturgical north side providing the main entrance. The road-facing elevation has a regular three-window front, featuring pointed arched openings with intersecting glazing bars. A two-centred arch opening is present at the porch, accentuated by brick dressings and pierced bargeboards. A datestone above the entrance reads 'United Methodist Church 1879'. The interior is not accessible.
