Description
This is a headstone from 1783, located 7 metres to the west of the Church of St Michael. It commemorates Richard, the son of John and Anstis Prout, who died in the same year. The headstone is made of slate and features a segmental arched top. It is inscribed with both upper and lower case lettering that includes serifs, and it is signed by the sculptor, Hender.
