Description
Sherrell is a small house, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features painted and rendered stone rubble and cob construction, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof that has gable ends. There is a stone rubble end stack on the right side. The layout consists of two rooms with a cross or through passage plan, where the larger room on the higher right is heated by the end stack. The house is two storeys tall and has an asymmetrical front with three windows. The entrance is located to the left of centre and consists of a 20th-century part glazed door. To the right of the entrance is a 20th-century two-light casement window, and there are three additional probably 20th-century two-light casements on the first floor. A small lean-to outshut is present at the right-hand end. The interior has not been inspected.
