Description
No. 23 and 24 Quay Road is a small house dating from the early 19th century, as shown on the 1843 tithe map. The exterior features slate hanging on a rubble base and an asbestos slate hipped roof with a brick stack on the left side. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The windows are late 19th century four-pane horned sashes, and there is a central doorway with a four-panel door that has been later glazed in the top panels. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. This building is part of an important and little altered group in the former fishing and china clay port, and it has group value with No. 27 Quay Road.
