Description

A farmhouse, later converted into a house, probably dating from the late 17th century, with subsequent additions and alterations. The construction is of roughly coursed slate-stone and granite, including quoins, with a slate roof. The property has one storey and an attic. The front facade features early 20th-century casement windows, with one widely spaced on each side of a central 4-centred granite arch containing a slightly recessed plank door, glazed at the top. Similar casement windows are situated in gabled half-dormers directly above the ground-floor windows, and two small casements are located immediately below the eaves towards the centre and right of the property. Integral end stacks are present, and the left gable end includes a corbelled cloam oven projection. A short range to the rear connects to a hip-roofed former farm building, which now forms part of the domestic accommodation. The interior was not accessible during a resurvey in November 1987, but is expected to be of interest.
