Description
Endean Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around the early 19th century. It features shale rubble walls with dressed granite quoins, sills, jambstones, and lintels. The roof is made of grouted scantle slate and has brick chimneys at the gable ends. The building has a double depth plan with two front reception rooms and a cross passage that leads to a central stair between two smaller service rooms at the rear. There is also a later 19th-century lean-to porch at the rear left. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical three-window east front with a central doorway that contains a 20th-century glazed door. The windows are two-light horizontal sliding sashes, some of which have had their glazing bars removed. The interior has not been inspected. Endean Farmhouse is part of a group of four farmhouses in this small hamlet, located in unspoiled coastal surroundings.
