CARDINHAM CARDINHAM SX 16 NW 6/33 Cross in the churchyard about 4 6.6.69 metres south of south porch of Church of St Meubred

GV II*

Churchyard cross. Circa C10. Granite monolith, about 2 metres high. The shaft is of rectangular plan, with roll-moulded edges, all sides with raised carving, with interlace and plaitwork; tapered. Wheelhead with Latin cross, pierced through, with the arms of the cross projecting slightly beyond the rim of the wheel ; the rim of the wheel is also moulded. The wheelhead has the same carving to front and rear. Ancient monument no. 454.
