Description
The headstone of Charles Mitchell, dating from 1735, is located 16 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St Endelienta. It commemorates Charles, the son of Charles and Ann Mitchell. The headstone is made of slate and has a rectangular shape, featuring angels' heads, a crude skull, and an inscription that includes a verse: 'My youthful years with pains oppress But now with Christ I hope to Rest So parents weep not for your loss The gain is mine my pains are past'.
