Description
Riverside is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, featuring brick and granite dressings, and has a slurried slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The building has gable end stacks with brick shafts.
The house has a two-room plan, with each room being of equal size and heated from a gable end stack, and a central entrance. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The first floor has three 19th-century 16-pane sash windows with brick cambered arches, while the ground floor features two 16-pane sashes with flat granite lintels and brick cambered arches. The central entrance is a 20th-century half-glazed door with a granite lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
