Description
Ebenezer Chapel is a Methodist chapel built around 1880. It is constructed from coursed granite rubble with granite dressings and features a slate roof with ridge coping tiles and gable ends. At the rear, there is a stable made of rubble, partly rendered, also with a slate roof and a brick stack.
The chapel has a single auditorium plan with a porch on one gable end and the stable on the other. It is designed in the Gothic style, featuring a 2-bay auditorium set on a plinth, with weathered buttresses and two pairs of pointed arched lancets on each side. The front gable end includes a blind quatrefoil at the apex and tall pointed arched lancets flanking the gabled porch. The porch itself has an open quatrefoil in its gable end and a side doorway with a shouldered head and plain double doors, along with buttresses. The rear gable end, which is attached to the stable, has a wide doorway and a brick stack at the back. The interior has not been inspected.
