Description
The Davey monument is a headstone located in the churchyard, about 2 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St Meubred. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate, featuring granite piers on either side. The headstone has a square shape with a nowy head that is incised above the inscription panel. It is fluted and has pilasters on the sides, with urns positioned at the top right and left, and a central cherub with wings. The monument includes a valedictory quatrain dedicated to John Davey, who passed away in 1799.
