Description
The Methodist Church on Chapel Street in Penzance, built in the mid-19th century, is constructed from granite ashlar. It features a two-storey front with seven windows that have semi-circular heads. The central parapet is raised, and there is a cornice along the top. The building has quoins at the corners. On the ground floor, there are wide semi-circular entrances that include fanlights and panelled double doors. A Tuscan colonnade with an entablature supports projecting rusticated porches at either end, which have flat pilaster quoins and semi-circular headed windows.
The church also includes iron railings in the forecourt, which are accompanied by lamp standards. The Methodist Church, along with Nos 15 to 18, forms a group of buildings.
