Description
This fountain, dated 1868, is made of granite and is located on Grenville Road in Lostwithiel. The rear features a four-centred arched recess with a cast iron plate for the spout, which is designed in the shape of a lion mask. Above the arch, the date 1868 is inscribed. The fountain has a pedimental top that stands approximately 1.2 meters high, complete with coping and a monogram "GF," likely representing Foster of Lostwithiel. In front of the fountain, there is a granite trough. The structure is set within a rubble wall that is about 1 meter high, with short returns extending to the front right and left, each about 1.5 meters long.
