Description

The outbuildings adjoining and to the south-east of Trevean Farmhouse are likely from the 19th century. They consist of shippons with haylofts above and a cartshed. The buildings are partly made of whitewashed rubble stone, with upper walls constructed from cob, and some areas have cement blockwork repairs. The north-west range features a scantle slate roof, while the west range has a corrugated roof, both with gabled ends. A single-storey range connects these outbuildings to the west gable of the farmhouse. The layout forms an L-shape with a two-storey, asymmetrical range. The north-west range includes a cartshed on the ground floor, which is accessed through a brick segmental arch with double doors. There are also shippon doors and stone steps leading to the first-floor lofts at the rear. These outbuildings are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
