Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating to around the mid-19th century. It is built of rubble stone with granite quoins, and features brick arches over the openings. The roof is covered with cement-washed slate and has deep eaves. The house is almost square in plan, with a symmetrical two-window front. A central, barrel-roofed porch with a 20th-century glazed door provides access. The ground floor has two nine-pane sash windows with ears, while the windows above have intersecting glazing bars under round-headed brick arches. The east side has a similar two-window front. A significant amount of old window glass remains in the building. The interior has not been inspected.
