Description
This is a headstone dedicated to Chiston Tretheway, located 8 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Endelienta. It dates from 1743 and commemorates Chiston, the wife of Lewis Tretheway, along with four children who died in infancy. The headstone is made of slate and features a rectangular shape with an inscription that includes both upper and lower case serif lettering. Above the inscription is an angel's head, and below it is a verse that reads, "Here age with youth, Mother with Children Lye To mind Survivours, of Mortality."
