Description
Garden House is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from rendered stone rubble and features a cement washed scantle slate roof, with a rendered end stack on the left and a truncated end stack on the right. The building has a double depth plan with a central entrance, containing two reception rooms at the front that are heated by the end stacks, while service rooms are located at the rear.
The exterior is two stories high and has a symmetrical three-window front. There is a rendered gabled porch from the mid to late 19th century that includes an inner studded door from the 19th century. This porch is flanked by two mullion and transom windows with diagonal leaded lights, which may have been reused and reset, possibly dating from the late 17th century. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements on either side of a single light casement, all three featuring diagonal leaded lights. The interior has not been inspected.
