Description
This is a pair of gatepiers located at the northeast entrance to Croan, likely dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from slate stone rubble and are square in plan. The gatepiers feature a moulded plinth at both the front and rear, topped with flat slate caps. Additionally, there are introduced and reset freestone curved necks and ball finials, which were added around the 18th century.
