Description
The boundary wall and two gateways at the east side of the churchyard of the Church of St Dominica date from the 19th century. The wall is constructed of slatestone rubble with granite dressing and measures about 50 metres long and 2 metres high, tapering down with the slope of the ground.
The gateway to the northeast features a single cast iron gate topped with spear finials, and has moulded granite coping on each side that serves as a base for a wrought iron overthrow, which includes leaf finials, although the lamp is missing. The gateway to the south consists of a roughly hewn granite pier on the left and an elaborate wrought iron overthrow with a central lamp, along with a single cast iron gate that also has spear finials on the toprail.
