Description

Tregamere Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with mid-19th century additions and 20th century alterations. It is built from slatestone rubble with brick dressings and features a slurried slate roof with ridge tiles, hipped to the right and gabled to the left. The building has end stacks and an axial stack with brick shafts. The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance; each room is heated by a gable end stack, although the left stack has been repositioned to an axial position. In the mid-19th century, a one-room addition was added to the left end, also heated by a gable end stack. A two-storey addition from the 20th century is located at the left end.

The exterior is two storeys high, with the original range on the right displaying a symmetrical three-window front. All windows are early 19th century 16-pane sashes with brick segmental arches. The ground floor features a central 20th century door with a pitched hood. Granite quoins are present on both ends, with a masonry straight joint to the left leading to the 19th century addition, which has two bays and 16-pane sashes with brick segmental arches on both floors. The right end is blind and rendered, while the left end is pebbledashed with 20th century windows. The rear has random 20th century fenestration. The interior has not been inspected.
