Description

The Consolidated Mines chimney, dating from the late 18th century, is a significant structure associated with the mining industry in Cornwall. It is constructed from killas rubble and features a round plan. The chimney is tapered and consists of one stage, remaining almost complete. The adjoining walls of the ruined beam engine house are reduced to the top of the ground floor level or lower. This chimney is included in the listing for its group value and as an early relic of Cornwall's mining heritage.
