Description
This is an 18th-century pigsty located about one metre north of St Erney House. It is constructed of slatestone rubble and features a flat slate roof. The pigsty has a roughly square plan and is situated in an enclosed yard that includes a gate at the side and front. There is an opening at the front leading into the yard, which is covered with heavy flat slate slabs. At the rear, there is a stone chute for feeding the pigs. The doorway of the pigsty is framed by a heavy granite lintel and granite jambs, with a pintle still in place. The pigsty also has gateways to the yard on the side and front, making it an unusually complete example of its kind.
