Description
This headstone, located approximately 10 meters north of the Church of Saint Corentin, dates from 1831. It is a newly-headed dressed granite monolith with an incised slate insert facing west. The inscription commemorates Mary, the wife of Captain Head K.N. and niece to Samuel Grosse Esq. of Nanplough, who died in 1831 at the age of 39. It also honors Richard Head, the son of Captain Head, who died in 1829 at the age of 4, and Elizabeth Grosse Head, the only daughter of Captain Head, who died in 1833 at the age of 10.
